From 3 – 6 June 2024, several EXIGENCE partners will be at the EuCNC & 6G Summit in Antwerp, Belgium.
Under the title “6G: From Vision to Reality”, the 2024 EuCNC & 6G Summit builds on putting together two successful conferences in the area of telecommunications: EuCNC (European Conference on Networks and Communications), supported by the European Commission, and the 6G Summit, originated from the 6G Flagship programme in Finland, one of the very first in its area.
The conference focuses on all aspects of telecommunications ranging from 5G deployment and mobile IoT to 6G exploration and future communications systems and networks, including experimentation and testbeds, and applications and services.
Towards a Sustainable 6G
Together with SNS BeGREEN, SNS 6Green, SNS VERGE, HE Zero-SWARM, SNS Sustainability Task Force, and the 6G-IA Vision Working Group, EXIGENCE is co-organising the workshop “Sixtainability: Paving the Way for a Sustainable 6G” on Monday, 3 June from 9:00 – 12:30.
Ljupco Jorguseski from project partner TNO will present “EXIGENCE: A Novel Approach for Energy Consumption and Carbon Footprint Reduction of ICT Services”.
Secondly, Artur Hecker from project partner Huawei Germany will present the “Technical Aspects of Sustainability Considerations in 6G”, a whitepaper written with the 6GIA Vision Working Group.
With keynotes from two distinguished speakers from top industries in the sector, an introduction to the methodology being developed in the SNS-JU Sustainability Task Force, several aligned project presentations, as well as an expert panel discussion, the workshop is set to provide many interesting perspectives and insights around the topic of Sustainability in 6G.
